Campaign Story

Sinews of War is a theater level wargame where logistics isn’t just part of the game — it is the game. Two players take command of rival nations fighting over the fictional country of Celtia.  The Red force launches a rapid invasion while Blue looks to establish operations for a full theater army, deploying forces into Celtia by sea and air while racing to stabilize the front.  As commander, you will face tough decisions. Should you push your brigades forward, straining your logistics, or proceed cautiously, making sure there are no fuel or ammunition shortages?   Attack now, or wait for replacements? Do you risk everything to seize Blue’s primary port–or will you be able to win battles at the front quickly enough that the arriving reinforcements and armaments are too late?

Unlike traditional wargames that focus mainly on maneuver and combat, Sinews of War puts supply, distribution, and personnel management at the heart of the experience. Players track food, fuel, ammunition, and unit readiness as they fight across mountains, rivers, towns, and ports. Momentum matters, but so does endurance. Victory requires more than winning battles–players must keep their army alive long enough to win the campaign. With accessible rules, deep decision-making, and a unique focus on sustainment, Sinews of War offers a fresh, engaging professional challenge for players who want a wargame bigger than the battlefield.
